Activities at Amicalola Falls

Learn about mammals, birds, and aquatic creek life at Amicalola Falls State Park in Dawsonville, Georgia.
Starting on August 20, 2011 at 10:30 AM, taking place at the visitors’ center, you can learn about mammals native to the area, check out some animal pelts and possibly meet a resident mammal ambassador. This program can be seen again on August 27, 2011 beginning at 10:30 AM.
On August 20, 2011 starting at 1 PM is a program taking place in the Lodge Lobby featuring non-releasable raptors who live at Amicalola Falls State Park. You can learn more about them and the important message they have to share. You can see this again on August 25 and 27 at 1 PM.
Don’t forget to bring your wading shoes and a towel and meet at the visitor’s center at 3:30 PM on August 20 for the Creek Wade. You can join a park naturalist who will be investigating aquatic life. This program happens again on August 24 at 1 PM and August 27 at 3:30 PM.
