Birds of prey are such fascinating creatures, and Georgia-based conservationist group Winged Ambassadors have shows available to come to you for any event, allowing you to see and learn about these birds firsthand. The shows usually consist of a minimum of 5 different birds and can be as simple as a one-half hour show to a more in depth 2 hour show. They offer free flight shows, lectures, or even one on one conversations in a mix and mingle atmosphere.
Winged Ambassadors’ mission is to help educate and promote environmental conservation, especially the protection of wildlife. They are dedicated to help spread the word, through educational programs, on the importance of wildlife and the crucial roles they play in the environment on which we all rely. Their show is a message of hope that one day many of the endangered birds of prey will return to their former glory. Due to Winged Ambassadors’ diligence, as well as all other conservationists, some of their dreams have come to pass, as birds like the Peregrine Falcon have come to thrive in such numbers that they have now been removed from the Endangered Species List. There is still much work to be done and they will continue on in their efforts to educate so others can learn the importance of preserving these creatures and the environment for the future of this world!
Visit Winged Ambassadors to get more information or to set up a show in your area.

The City of Dawsonville lies in a valley near the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia. It was born partly due to the many miners flocking into the area after gold was discovered nearby in 1828. There is much to do in and around Dawsonville making it a great place to be, and it is proud to be the home of NASCAR great, Bill Elliott.
Amicalola Falls State Park is located nearby and is a great place for hiking, picnics, fishing, and camping. It offers breathtaking mountain views as well as a beautiful 729 ft. waterfall, the tallest east of the Mississippi River.
Dawsonville is just minutes from Lake Lanier, a gorgeous lake with 692 miles of beautiful shoreline and is great for those who enjoy all sorts of outdoor activities. There are boat ramps available for launching your boat for a fun day on the water, as well as swimming and picnic areas and plenty of hiking trails. Lake Lanier Island Resort, a 1100 acre resort that lies on the shore of the lake has much to offer from pleasure to business.
For those shopping enthusiasts, you can visit the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall in Dawsonville, a very large shopping mall with 140 stores of designer fashions, shoes, home furnishings, jewelry, and accessories. You can find great savings on many designer fashions!
There are many festivals and events happening in Dawsonville every year, such as the Moonshine Festival held the 4th weekend in October. The Moonshine Festival celebrates the history of the area during prohibition when people were running moonshine. NASCAR was born from the stock cars that were used during that era. There’s lots of fun to be had by everyone. You can hear stories about the thrills of the chase, visit an old still, see many cars at the car show, enjoy the music and entertainment, as well as the food, parade, and crafts. There are games and rides for the children too! Don’t miss it!
Take the time to visit Dawsonville. You’ll be happy you did!
